Abacus n abacus was established in 2007 by our director Mrs. Richa Agarwal. On her visit to South India she came across a new learning concept of fast calculation. After coming back to Varanasi, she started to train her own child and she could clearly see the successful result and hence she started to teach at a small play group school on Sundays as her hobby.
After seeing the result of their children, it was well appreciated by the parents and with their support we got more admissions and opened other branches in Varanasi.
We are first in North India to introduce Abacus as a subject to be taught in schools and the concept was very well appreciated and accepted by the other schools which were hesitant about it.
Our mission is to train the young wind to reach greater heights in their academic life and in facing the challenges in today's complex world.
To equip the new generation mentally and functionally for meeting and overcoming the challenges in today’s competitive environment and to become a leading institute and set standards in the field of innovative education for children in the age group of 4-14 and to develop the power inherent in their minds.

A glimpse of Abacus N Abacus Hard to believe but true : Before we start to explain the concept of Abacus we would just like to ask you a few questions in arithmetic. 4325 X 235 = ? Or 7354/2345=? Or 435 + 7829 - 3275 + 2213 - 1235 = ? No do not take What did you pickup a pen and paper, a calculator or have you switched on your computer? Now if we tell you that you can do these sums without the help of any external aid you would most probably laugh at us and say this is impossible or take a long time doing it. Can you imagine these same sums that have baffled you being solved by a 8 year old child in just 8 seconds flat and that too without using any of the external aids mentioned above. Hard to believe but true. That is what we are into? "Whole Brain Development" using Mental Arithmetic as a medium and an Abacus as a tool.

Founded in 2007 by visionary educator Mrs. Richa Agarwal, Abacus n Abacus began its journey in Varanasi with a mission to bring innovative learning methods to young children. Inspired by a visit to South India, where she discovered the concept of fast calculation using the Abacus, Mrs. Agarwal started experimenting by training her own child — and witnessed remarkable improvement.
Encouraged by these results, she began teaching Abacus at a local playgroup school every Sunday, purely as a passion project. The visible progress in students’ mental math abilities quickly gained attention. Parents appreciated the transformation, leading to increased demand and the opening of multiple Abacus training branches across Varanasi.
We take pride in being the first institute in North India to introduce Abacus as a formal subject in schools, a concept that was initially met with hesitation but ultimately embraced and appreciated by the education community.
Today, Abacus n Abacus stands as a trusted name in child brain development, fostering academic growth, boosting confidence, and enhancing cognitive skills in children aged 4 to 14.

During my visit to South India, I witnessed a revolutionary method of mental math through Abacus, and it ignited a vision — to introduce this concept in North India. Starting with my own child, I saw firsthand the incredible impact it had on speed, accuracy, and concentration.
